What plannet r u from that u donno abt desi companies and LC sell ? myself a human from earth :-)
desi companies r indian companies and they sell LC openly , Eb2 pre approved labor has a rate approx 20k USD .
desi companies sell H1b also , u pay money and they will get it for u , see sulekha.com for example .
I am not in the IT industry so I have no idea about these Desi companies till today. If they sell EB2 LC for 20k USD, how come there are still so many people waiting instead of buying a GC?

Hello,
If your parents have bad health, then its a risky trip anyways .. but if they are in a reasonable health, then most insurance plans (except the super cheap ones) should be fine to cover any emergencies .... I have used k v rao insurance couple of times (but never had to make a claim) ...
There are always bad stories about claim process, but that is just the nature of Insurance industry (had such experiences with my employer insurance as well ... despite it being a Fortune100 company with generous benefits)... so choose your poison! :)

With the attitude towards immigration in this country, i really doubt this bill will pass :(, i really hope it does though, i think the USICS is a strong believer of "sabar ka phal meeta hota hai", translated, the fruit of a long wait is sweet, i just hope the wait is not too long and the fruit rotten

I agree with you. But the reality is you can find only 300-400 people out of 1000s to come forward for any kind of fight. Let it be contribution, send flowers or demonstration.

But i bet you ..you will find your self in the same situation of agony and endless waiting for the final Green card.

I dont see how genuine consulting firms will be affected by this. Those who employ people on H1B with genuine clients will be OK. Only consulting firms who bring/hire H1b employees without any project will be impacted. In my opinion this will help avoid the benching practice...

usually..the banks give the rate the day the money was deposited in the indian bank..not the day you initieted the transfer..
make sure u got tht rate..and how much do they charge for transfer..
i am sure they have a customer service where you can ask the break up of charges applied to you..without CS, they wont be in this business..tlk to CS,

As describe by you above scenario .how come even your fault when car 7 or all other front car come stand still or go below road posted speed. I would argue that car7 is the initiator and reason to disturb traffic not you even if hit from back side and cause ripple effect. I would say car7 is at major fault and you should defend your case and sue all upfront car drivers for not violating traffic rules and causing this much inconvenience.
